Ordering pork and bacon
We sell direct to the public by taking orders for half a pig (a side), taster boxes of pork and sausages and orders of cured bacon (when available) in boxes containing about a quarter of a pig with a selection of bacon, gammon steaks and gammon joints. There is usually a short waiting list for pork so order ahead. We can also take orders for a particular time of year as long as we know far enough in advance, just give us a call.

Why we prefer to sell sides of pork
The reason for selling our pigs in sides is two fold, firstly it’s the most cost effective way for our customers to buy pedigree rare breed pork. The price per kg works out a lot cheaper for you than if you were buying smaller amounts at retail prices from a butcher. We do require a deposit on ordering This guarantees the sale for us but also spreads the cost for you making the final bill more palatable when you come to pick up your pork. Ordering in advance also allows you to make space in the freezer. Secondly we don’t have the facilities for storing the fresh product so by taking orders in advance we can plan the process to meet demand and the pork can it can be picked up or delivered on the day it arrives back from the abattoir.
A side of Berkshire pork is £165
Our standard cut will include around three shoulder joints, the loin – either jointed or cut into chops the kidneys, three leg joints and the belly either thinly sliced or cut into joints. Then there's the fore - which is the front leg. The head, trotters and tail can be included if you would like them.
We offer a 10% discount on an order for a whole pig.

Cured bacon prices average out at around £8 per kg.

We also sell free range eggs, chutneys and preserves and other seasonal goods from the house door so pop by next time you are passing.
